In support of education in surveying, the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and Schonstedt Instrument Company have launched an initiative to put Schonstedt magnetic locators in the hands of surveying students nationwide.
NSPS is seeking donations of Schonstedt magnetic locators. The units will ship directly to Schonstedt, where the company will refurbish them to "like-new" condition, including a one-year warranty. These refurbished locators will be made available to NSPS-recognized surveyor education programs throughout the country.
NSPS strives to establish and further common interests, objectives, and political effort that would help bind the surveying profession into a unified body in the United States.
Governance: The National Society of Professional Surveyors Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors. The NSPS Board of Directors meets twice per year. NSPS has working agreements with state surveying organizations which are represented on the NSPS Board of Directors, and with the NSPS Foundation, Inc.
