The election of the NSPS President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Director-at-Large will begin on December 1 and end on December 21, 2016. It will again be conducted electronically. Members will use an email message they receive from the electronic voting service to access information about candidates, and then vote.

Information about the four (4) Vice Presidential candidates will not only include biographical information, but also their respective responses to three specific questions posed to them. Prior to the election, information about the candidates can be viewed on the NSPS website.
Note that the candidates running for President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Director-at-Large are running unopposed; however, members are allowed to vote for "write-in" candidates.
NSPS strives to establish and further common interests, objectives, and political effort that would help bind the surveying profession into a unified body in the United States.
Governance: The National Society of Professional Surveyors Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors. The NSPS Board of Directors meets twice per year. NSPS has working agreements with state surveying organizations which are represented on the NSPS Board of Directors, and with the NSPS Foundation, Inc.
