grown to over 1100. Mr. Blair, along with the secretary of the society formulated the Constitution and operating bylaws. He chaired the ethics committee from 1979 to 1987. He served as the conference chair from 1989 to 2001
Association of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors-
Mr. Blair represented various firms while in their employ and later served as president of the Association after establishing his firm of B2A Consultants. The Association was an amalgamation of notable engineering and surveying firms in the Central New Jersey area with accumulated fees of millions of dollars.

Educational institutions-
Mr. Blair served as an adjunct instructor for numerous courses offered at the Somerset County Technical Institute in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He is on call at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey and assists in instruction of GPS courses as well as the legal track, assisting instructors and attorneys. He is a nationally recognized instructor and presents regularly at State Educational Conferences of Professional Land Surveyors in the states of Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors-
When the New Jersey statutes were revised placing two Professional Land Surveyors on the licensing board, Mr. Blair was appointed by Gov. Keane as the first surveyor under the revised statute. He served from 1985 to 1990, the last year as president of the board. During that time, he was responsible for the revision to the land surveying regulations along with Messrs. Conley and Wiseman. Mr. Blair continues to serve as an emeritus member of the board and with the National Council of Examiners of Engineers and Surveyors.

National Council of Examiners of Engineers and Surveyors-
Since his appointment to the State Board, Mr. Blair has served with the National Council in various capacities. His participation in the Examination for Professional Surveyors committee over the last 20 years has been recognized by the Council. He has chaired various subcommittees, particularly the review and strengthening of the examination for Professional Practices resulting in a robust and defensible nationwide examination.

Mr. Blair began his career in land surveying in 1958 upon accepting an entry-level position with a civil engineer and land surveyor, Mr. Herman Moselowitz located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Having the advantage of being associated with a small firm, Mr. Blair quickly acquired his knowledge of both field and office surveying. Being mentored by the owner of the firm, he was guided through the requisite steps to obtain information required to prepare a proper survey. During this time he was encouraged to gain additional education on a formal level resulting in certificates from the New Jersey College of Engineering (now NJIT) as well as Rutgers, the State University.
An advanced position presented itself in 1964 at which Mr. Blair assumed a position with the firm of Stires Associates in Somerville, New Jersey. There he advanced from a survey crew chief to become the chief computer operator as well as office manager for the entire survey department. Responsibility for major projects such as the Raritan Valley Community College, Princeton Airport and the AT&T facilities in Bedminster

Mr. Blair answered directly to Paul Emilius where he functioned, not only as a profitable office manager, but as a marketing director for the entire firm. His major accomplishments with the firm ranged from surveying Liberty State Park, the 10,000 acre Isaiah Adams tract in the New Jersey Pine Barrens to thousands of acres acquired by the state of New Jersey Green Acres program.

When the survey director for Thomas Tyler Moore Associates resigned unexpectedly in 1978, Mr. Moore brought Mr. Blair into the firm. He continued marketing as well as directing Green Acres acquisitions, a major survey of the Mercer County portion of the Delaware-Raritan Canal and a pumped-storage reservoir covering 5000 acres known as the Merrill Creek Reservoir in Warren County.

Finally wishing to begin his own firm, in 1981, Mr. Blair founded the firm of B2A Consultants. Beginning as a professional land surveying firm, it soon took on civil engineering and quickly became recognized as a progressive, state of the art professional firm. Major clients such as Jersey Central Power and Light, New Jersey Green Acres, Delaware and Raritan Conservancy, Public Service Electric and Gas, City of Newark and ADR Aerial Mapping were just a few of the clients. The firm was the very first to acquire GPS for use in its survey applications. It was recognized in 1989 by Inc. magazine as one of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States, the ONLY land surveying firm so honored. The company was profitably sold in 2010.
Mr. Blair then founded BRB Forensics, a firm providing professional surveying services to selected clients as well as expert testimony to major law firms in connection with accident positioning as well as standard of care issues. He is recognized in most courts and many towns in the State as an expert in testimony. He is appointed to Boundary Line Commissions by Courts of Chancery. This firm continues to date.

Mr. Blair resides in Hillsborough New Jersey with his wife Judith of 52 years. They're the parents of four lovely daughters and currently enjoy seven grandchildren.
