Jon P. Warren, PAC ChairmanA message from Jon P. Warren, NSPS PAC Chairman

The NSPS political action committee (NSPS PAC) is the political arm of NSPS and the surveying profession in Washington, DC.  By law, no NSPS funds can be used for political campaign purposes.  That’s where the NSPS PAC comes in.  NSPS must rely on the generous, voluntary, personal contributions to the PAC from individual surveyors. The NSPS PAC is the legal, ethical and professional way for membership organizations, such as NSPS to engage in our great political process.

The PAC helps build a better future for the surveying profession by pooling personal contributions from individual NSPS members and contributes to the election campaigns of deserving candidates and incumbents for Federal office based on their records, policy positions, and leadership responsibilities.

The NSPS PAC is a fund that helps elect candidates whose positions are most in line with those of the surveying community.  It helps ensure that our representatives in Washington take responsible positions on legislative issues to grow our economy and recognize the important role surveyors play in the market and government policy.

By pooling resources, NSPS PAC provides support and impact far greater than by an individual. Additionally, candidates who receive NSPS PAC contributions recognize they have support within the surveying profession, a constituency whose interests they'll be likely to serve.

Your contribution not only allows NSPS to directly support candidates whose positions are most in line with those of the surveying community.

Take a look at the NSPS government affairs reports to see the depth and breadth of the society’s engagement in legislation and policy in our Nation’s Capital.  Much of this effectiveness is made possible by responsive, dedicated elected officials in Congress who work with NSPS for good government.

An individual (and spouse) may each contribute up to $5,000 per year ($10,000 total) to the NSPS PAC, according to federal election law. Personal, individual contributions of any amount $25, $50, $75, $100 $200, $250, $500, $1,000, whatever you can afford, up to the limit, are encouraged.

There’s an old saying, you either take part, or you get taken apart. It’s our government!  Politics is NOT a spectator sport. Take part in the surveying profession today by making a contribution to the NSPS PAC.

Please use a personal credit card to make a contribution today. Or, join the Jefferson Club, a special group of dedicated surveyors who contribute $500 per year to the NSPS PAC. Click here for Jefferson Club donation.  Or send a personal check to NSPS PAC.
