WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO ARRANGE TO SIT FOR
THE CERTIFIED SURVEY TECHNICIAN (CST) EXAMINATION
The CST program does not have a regular schedule or designated location for testing.
STEP 1: Exam applicant to check with their state CST Coordinator or Sara Maggi - email@example.com or 240-439-4615, ext. 112 to locate a possible proctor and testing site.
Step 2: The examinee will need to coordinate with a qualified person, locally, to volunteer to proctor and provide a location for the exam.
A volunteer proctor is required by NSPS to oversee the delivery of the exam and to protect its integrity. A professional surveyor, engineer, a college professor, or any qualified, disinterested third party with no potential conflict of interest may proctor for the CST exam after their proctor application has been approved by the CST Board. Please refer to the CST Website for additional information concerning proctor requirements or call the NSPS office at 240-439-4615, ext. 112.
STEP 3: Select the type of exam you want to take. The examinations themselves are available in online or paper format. The paper examinations are available on any day, and the on-line exams are available any week day and on the second Saturday of each month.
